One Earth

chorus:

We have One Earth, One Sky

One chance to keep all the things that fly

Earth’s precious life interwoven so naturally

One Forest, One Water

One chance to keep the rare from the slaughter

Tip toe through Mother Nature carefully

Now earth has reached a record populous

And the scale’s been tipped because there’s more of us

More men to house, more hungry mouths to feed

More pollution and more waste and greed

And mindless harvests to fill perceived needs

chorus:

Now extinction is a topic we should explore

Lest we share the same fate as the dinosaurs

Let’s study that web and harmful habits pray stop

Since after all we’re on the top

And at the mercy of all we ignore

chorus:

Now we’re not gonna change earth’s destiny

And no one needs to go hungry

That’s not what we’re talkin’ ‘bout here

Please won’t you lend me an ear

The goal to keep in mind is not to interfere

chorus:
