Maybe The Answer's In Me --Galileo's Song

" I render infinite thanks to God for being so kind as to make me alone the first observer of marvels kept hidden in obscurity for all previous centuries."-- Galileo Galilei

Don’t know where I’m really going

Not sure where I have been

Seems like I’ve wasted lots of time

Not trusting within

Unsure of my gifts and talents

Or lack of any I fear

Waiting for praise and reassurance

But it’s silence I hear

Just as Galileo was the first to see The Secrets

As he looked into the heavens weak-kneed

Maybe the answer’s in me

The world’s become what we’ve created

Problems arising every day

Scares me when I stop and think about

How it got this way

I know I am part of the problem

If I don’t stop and take a think

Of some way to go against the grain

Before we stand at the brink

Just as Galileo was the first to see The Secrets

As he looked into the heavens weak-kneed

Maybe the answer’s in me

There are no fingerprints the same

Gifts form a tapestry unique

Different passions and roads traveled

Mean none THINK JUST LIKE ME

Just as Galileo was the first to see The Secrets

As he looked into the heavens weak-kneed

Maybe the answer’s in me
