There Would Be No You

Do you wish that you could run away

Abandon all the cares of the day

Forever free from your woes and strife

Maybe capture someone else’s life

Then there would be no you

Then there would be no you

Would you trade for someone else’s hair

Magically take you from despair

Do you wish for someone else’s eyes

To wear as a beautiful disguise

Then there would be no you

Then there would be no you

Painful times bring a seasoning only those who’ve felt them can conceive

But good can come from what feels like bad …if you look and believe

Would someone else’s talents be the fix

For all the troubles in the mix

Have you considered the reality

The complete and utter certainty (that)

Then there would be no you

Then there would be no you

(fade) I’d hate it if there were no you /It would be a sad world without you

I’d cry a river if there were no you
